I'm Miana Smith, I consider myself a travel photographer because, although I'm still young, I've traveled many places and have a passion for the art of photography. I was born in Fukui, Japan but have grown up in Buffalo, NY. We return to Japan often and I enjoy exploring the vibrant city life as well as the beautiful countryside. My parents own a few Japanese restaurants in Buffalo and my brother and I homeschool (and I am now enrolled in college online) so my family and I are able to explore the world together.
Vision
I enjoy exploring my Japanese roots as well as other cultural traditions. Judo is one of the martial arts and sports I am really focused on right now. All of these things influence the way I take pictures and the way I view the world.
We are exploring Hokkaido as our future home base. I'll keep you updated as that next chapter unfolds.
